I grew up in Encinitas, California, splitting my time between surfing and skateboarding. My dad made surfboards and was a pioneer in the industry, and my mom worked as a typist. That balance of creativity and grit shaped who I am today—and eventually led me to storytelling through film.
As a kid, I preferred making movies over writing book reports, cutting scenes together with two VCR’s. Back then, I never imagined it could become a career.
I got my start in San Francisco, working under editor and director Peter Sorcher, who taught me the craft and discipline of filmmaking. From there, I moved to Los Angeles and joined Union Editorial—a place that felt like family. Under the guidance of incredible editors like Jay Friedkin, Einar, Jim Haygood, Nicholas Wayman-Harris, and Jono Griffith, I learned what it takes to create world-class work.
Today, as an Emmy-nominated editor, I bring those lessons and techniques into every project I take on, crafting high-end commercials, social content, and documentaries for clients like SoFi, DoorDash, Chubbies, Truly, Fitbit, and many more.
Beyond commercial work, I’ve also had the chance to explore longform storytelling—most recently finishing a seven-episode documentary series called The Religion Business.
At the heart of it all, I’m still that kid who loves telling stories through moving images and sound. Only now, I get to do it with some of the best and most creative collaborators in the industry.
